FULL MOON – LUNAR ECLIPSE

The next FULL MOON is also a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE and falls on JULY 27th 2018 at 8.20 pm(BST), at 4 degrees 45 of the fixed AIR sign of AQUARIUS.

Apparently, this is the longest Eclipse in a long time, and will last approx., 1 hour and 43 mins.  It if a Full Blood Moon Eclipse, meaning that the earth will pass between the sun and moon, creating an eclipse.  This casts a shadow on the moon, triggering an eclipse.  It will be seen from parts of Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.

At the time of this Full Moon, the planet MARS is conjunct(beside) the Moon, along with the South Node of the Moon.  The South Node is about old patterns and habits and being beside Mars and the Moon, you may find that Mars energy is high.  Watch for emotional outbursts and temper tantrums, just my take on this!  The Full Moon can be a time of high emotions at the best of times, but with Mars in the mix, well this will just pump it up a bit more lol!  The planet URANUS will also be making a challenging aspect(square) between the SUN and MOON, this is called a T-Square.  Uranus and Mars making any aspect can be volatile.  Unexpected things usually happen with Uranus, so watch for that.

Releasing and Letting Go is a theme associated with the FULL MOON and this is even stronger with a Lunar Eclipse.  Check out where 4 degrees of Aquarius and Leo are in your chart, what houses are being activated by this Full Moon?  Aquarius is an Air sign, and so rules the more mental realms.  Aquarius is associated with groups, socializing, making connections and networking.  Maybe it is time to do a clear out with groups you may be connected with?  Sometimes we can find ourselves involved with lots of different things and yet we are not really getting much from them, or feel a bond etc.,

MERCURY GOING RETROGRADE

The planet MERCURY will be going Retrograde on JULY 26th 2018 at 23 degrees of the Fire sign of LEO, and will go Direct again on AUGUST 19th 2018 at 11 degrees of LEO.  Mercury goes Retrograde 3 times each year, for around 3 weeks.  There can be a lot of hype and panic spread around the internet, and really there is no need.  As long as we are aware of the dates, we can be mindful at this time.

Be more conscious of delays when travelling, purchasing electrical goods, or anything major really.  Things can sometimes breakdown during this period.  Look at this time as an opportunity to re-do, re-organize, re-visit something.  A time to go more inward mentally.  Organizing your files and sorting out any communications that you may have been putting off doing.

The next Mercury Retrograde period is from Nov 17th to Dec 6th 2018.

SUN INTO LEO – July 22nd 2018

The SUN is moving from the Water sign of Cancer to the sunny FIRE sign of LEO on July 22nd 2018.  The sign of LEO is also ruled by the SUN, and so this is the natural place for the sun to be.  Just as Cancer is the natural place for the Moon to be.  People born at this time of year like to shine, and can enjoy being the centre of attention.  They brighten up the place, and their energy is usually vibrant and alive.  Leos are generous, fun, creative and like to lead. They are usually obvious to spot and ooze confidence.  If there are difficult aspects in the birth chart, this may hinder these natural abilities to stand out.

Have a look at your Birth chart and see where the Sun is travelling through right now, what house is Leo occupying in your chart?  Notice as the Sun moves through the zodiac, which areas of your life are being energized, for example if you have Leo in your 4th house of home, you may notice that you are spending more time at home and your energy may be directed towards family etc., when the Sun is travelling through this house.

You may have other planets or angles in Leo in your chart, if you haven’t got the Sun in Leo.  Check it out, and see how this planet is expressed in Leo.

The Sun will remain in Leo until August 23rd when it will move into the Earth sign of VIRGO.

NEW MOON IN CANCER and ECLIPSE SEASON

This NEW MOON falls on July 13th 2018 at 3.48 am (BST), in the sign of CANCER at 20 degrees.  This is also the first of 3 Eclipses happening over July and August.  At the same time, PLUTO will be making an exact opposition at 20 degrees of CAPRICORN to this NEW MOON.  This will certainly add a punch of power and potency to the energies.  The Planet Pluto, which rules the sign of Scorpio, is all about regeneration, rebirth, death, transformation and change. There is a huge opportunity for deep soul growth now.

Look at this NEW MOON as a time to reinvent something in your life.  Where is the Cancer/Capricorn axis in your natal chart?  What houses are being activated?  This is an opportunity to pull in the powerful energy of the planet Pluto to charge your NEW MOON INTENTIONS.  Cancer is all about nurturing, how can you find a new way to nurture yourself and others.

There are two beautiful GRAND TRINES at this time also, one is in the Water signs, between Jupiter in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces and the SUN and MOON in Cancer.  This adds a beautiful smooth healing energy to this NEW MOON.  An excellent time for all aspects of healing and meditation.  The other GRAND TRINE is in Earth, between Venus in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn in Capricorn.  The Water Grand Trine has looser orbs, and so the Earth Grand Trine is stronger and will had a depth of grounding to the emotional intensity that this New Moon may evoke.

The GRAND TRINE in EARTH will help to ground any new intentions that you set going forward, such as setting up a new health regime, exercise programme, self-care routine etc.,  It will help if you set intentions that whatever you begin at this time will last and bring positive changes for you.

The next Eclipse is a LUNAR ECLIPSE on July 27th 2018 @ 9.20 pm (BST) at 4 degrees of AQUARIUS.

The next SOLAR ECLIPSE is on August 11th 2018 @ 10.45 am (BST) at 18 degrees of LEO.

What music brings you a sense of peace and harmony?

Music is deeply therapeutic and healing, and can bring our bodies into balance.

Are you feeling out of alignment?  If so, what element is out of balance in your energy, is it the earth, air, fire, or water element?

There is music that connects with each element, and which can help to balance your connection with that element.  

For the FIRE element, passionate, invigorating music, think of Flamenco dancing! Something to get your juices going!   For the EARTH element, rhythmic music, including drumming.  For the AIR element, fast flowing, uplifting music to clear the energy, including music from any of the wind instruments.  For the WATER element, flowing, soothing and relaxing music to balance our emotions.

VENUS INTO VIRGO

The Planet VENUS has moved into the mutable EARTH sign of VIRGO.  When Venus is here, she like to be of service, helping others, and loves to get things done.  Virgo is also connected with healing and sacred work.  A good time have or give some healing.  Where is Virgo located in your birth chart, and you will be able to see what area of life Venus is currently making connections with.

Venus is the sociable planet, and so you may spend more time doing activities related to the house that Venus is in at this time.  For example, if you had Virgo in your 5th house of creativity, and Venus is travelling through, you may be feeling very creative in some way, and the desire to buy or create beautiful things may also be calling you, but all in a very practical way.  The 5th house also rules children, and so you may also be spending more time socializing with children, or just connecting with them more.

VIRGO has a feminine energy and is associated with the Goddess Ceres/Demeter – who is very much an earth Goddess, connected with grain, agriculture, fertility and motherly relationships.   Venus likes to express herself in a very practical way in the earth sign of Virgo.  A sign signifying sensuality, fertility and growth.
